The prices of new and used are continuing to tumble. Maserati’s (Stellantis) financials have suffered greatly the first half of 2024.
They may need to include 3 yrs of maintainence with all vehicles to stimulate the market, in addition to price “adjustments“.

Good to hear about the deals to be had. Great info for fellow enthusiasts.
Did you get them to CPO (with an additional year or two) it as well?
What is the PPF (full or partial) and ceramic costing where you live?
It costs the dealer $9500 to CPO for 2 years so I did not get them to include that but I was able to get them to reduce the car by $15k, which will more than pay the $4k for partial PPF and full ceramic coating.

For those in the market for an MC20: what Options are must have and what is a complete deal breaker?
I’m in the market for a 2023 (Cielo) and a few 2022 options were made standard in 2023. The most important option made standard in 2023 was the lift.

Front lif, and the right color. Interior CF is something interesting to make the interior feel more special, and Sonus Faber sound system is another nice upgrade ... but if it came down to the wire, it wouldn't be a deal breaker if the car didn't come with them.

Ceramic brakes are really only needed if you plan to track the car regularly (I race cars ... and have a lot of intel on this). If it's for street, all it becomes is another thing to show off to your buddies that cost you $30k. LOL. In fact, I prefer steel on the street ... ceramics don't bite very well when they are cold ... they work best when they are hot (on the track!).

CC brakes are $10k, and for little brake dust they are worth it IMO. I had them on my last 2 Porsches and will never go without them again, and I do not track - most every Porsche owner with cc brakes takes them off for the track. I also got the interior CF and it does look nice.

This is the correct answer. Tracking CC brakes is only a good idea if you’re (1) made of money, (2) do it very infrequently and don’t push your car hard, or (3) racing where every tenth counts.

I don’t race but I track a fair bit and have friends that race. I do agree with you (markb) that spending a lot on them just to show off (which is why some ppl do get them) is stupid, and some CC brakes are harder to use on the road but not all. But at some price delta the value prop is there (no dust, easier resale, never needing to change rotors/pads, etc).

The cc brakes on my MC do not really stand out like the ones on Porsches so I will agree that getting them to show off is stupid.

That's aggressive considering the lowest priced one on the market right now is listed for $164,900
Agreed….. but had some counters in upper 150’s ( for listings that were in the 170’s) There are still many out on the marketplace without a home. 140’s is the number I’m comfortable with at this point for a nice/ no sorry MC.
If I don’t find a car this summer, I’m sure my target price will be there next summer.

Seeing $70-80k off new vehicles. Obviously these are with bloated builds. Winter should bring more discounts, albeit at a loss of drive time in some regions. I believe there will be a few new/untitled 2023 cars available into the new year. Maserati should start an incentive program for all new unsold cars to include 3 yrs of maintenance, like Macs. That should move quite a few units.

2022 - Susp Lift, Sonus Faber (stock audio is really bad), Car Play
2023 - Sonus Faber. Susp Lift is standard...maybe Car Play

Interior and exterior CF's can be retrofitted for a lot less.

Experiencing the dreaded Masi depreciation at present so once bitten twice shy.........sad that the company has done such an abyssmal job with such wonderful vehicles. Their economists get an F.

If service and maintenance at dealerships was more affordable , they would all be more desirable and hold their values. Seems no one wants an out of warranty Maserati, not even the dealerships. Quite sad for the brand.

Guys there tons of brands that suffer from bad depreciation ... apparently the Porsche Taycan is a disaster, McLaren's? I heard Aston Martin isn't so good either.
Vehicles are simply not an investment ... and high cost vehicles are REALLY not a good investment ... 20% of a lot is A LOT.
True. But the $80k Grecale and the $150k GT are not in the same category as $300k Macs, AM or $200k ev. The classifieds are littered with Grecales and GTs. The maintenance of these $100k cars approaches the $300k cars. It should be closer to MB, BMW, Audi…

An 8yr old car that has lost 70-75% of its value with ONLY 18k miles is tragic.
I have a 13yr old Lotus worth ~50% still of its original sticker. Within 15k of what I paid for it......If I was ready to cut her loose, she is my track car and dialed in REAy well! I was always a fan of 5yr 50% as my benchmark. Hell I bought it for 46% off so not getting completely raped but I thought I had a real special build...doesn't matter apparently

My uncle passed away last year, has a BMW 850 Li, with 6000 km on it. It's 12 years old ... the most we will get for it is $12,000 (if we are lucky).
This is not just a maserati thing.
