I have a front license plate holder that screws into the tow-eye-socket but I can't find where the hole is. There is a video on you tube of a guy showing how to screw it in but the video is so dark you can't see anything. It looks like lower starboard (passenger side) front of the grill but I see no hole, only radiator.

Can someone post some pictures or describe where this hole can be found.

I just want to know in case I'm told I have to put on a front plate - I can keep it in the trunk and screw it in on-site if that's what it takes to make law enforcement happy.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I have the same type of license plate set up, but never used it . However I do recall when I got the car about eight years ago, I was looking for that port and believe it’s right where you indicated it is. It’s very well obscured by a cap over it which pretty much blends in the background, so not easily noticeable . If no one else chimes in here with a photo by tomorrow morning I’ll take a picture and post it when I head out to work. I’m tied up now on a Zoom meeting with our folks in Asia , so can’t run down to the car for a while ..

We have Tow Hook License Plate kits available for the Maserati GranTurismo on our website as well... You'll just pull on that Black Cover. Our advise is to first blow it out with some compressed air to help get any rocks out of the threads, then if you still have the original tow hook, thread it in there first since it's steel and will help make sure that any welding slag or imperfections will be ironed out so you have nice clean threads. Then thread in your tow hook.

Best Regards,

Awesome DSGT, thanks! You're very helpful.
Do I fold that flap down or pull it out?
What FD just advised. ( good idea, woukd have never thought of impurities getting in there ) I have no clue if it comes off completely or just peel back and it has something at the bottom that keeps it attached, but either way you’ll have plenty of clearance to put the hook in there .
