Just replaced the ballast in the RHS headlamp...it was blowing fuses on high beam...all working now...BUT
I have error codes 001 and 003 to do with headlamp calibration and ECU communication that won't clear.
Anyone know about these, what could the issue be??
Cheers
Alan

There is an ECU on both headlamps, could be the problem. Aftermarket ECU are available but come with risk, from my experience. Also if replacing an ECU, the internal terminals on the headlamp that attach to the ECU don't fit snuggly in the headlamp. Make sure they are seated fully in the ECU.

Thanks for that....I did have problems with that headlamp-ECU connector, managed to make it mate by holding the terminal inside the headlamp with a long screwdriver while pushing down on the ECU/ballast.
The headlamps are working OK...its only these errors I have which are to do with the calibration / levelling, which is pointing to the ECU 212866 in the floor. I've got one coming, will see if that fixes the issue.

OK...received an ECU 212866...what a job to get it out and put it back..on a RHD car it's in the driver side footwell...you have to take out the suspension ECU then there's a plate that holds the TPMS and the Headlight ECU that is a devil to get out and worse to get back in - there's no space, talk about interference fit!
Anyway, error code 003 is now gone but 001 is tsill there...I can clear it, but it comes straight back. My scanner says it has no information on this code......
But the headlights are working so no big drama.....
