I could be wrong but is the victory blu color like on the MCV?I agree, this appears to be a very nice exemplar and in great specs!
Window sticker says "Sebring Blue". I agree with you, it looks similar to the Victory Blue. Perhaps the same?I could be wrong but is the victory blu color like on the MCV?
I had to do a triple take…..Window sticker says "Sebring Blue". I agree with you, it looks similar to the Victory Blue. Perhaps the same?
It's just a trim level that has some cosmetic differences correct.LE just has cosmetic changes primarily, correct?
I would be more concerned about the control arms and the heater core. Price seems a bit high in comparison to all the closing auctions in the last year. That is a very nice, clean car. If it's got a fresh clutch, it's a no brainer at that price.
These cars don't do well at auction as they are generally a mess at that point, or at least assumed to be. A well sorted example with these low miles, in a condition as this one appears to be is a very good buy.I would be more concerned about the control arms and the heater core. Very few people are doing things like changing the clutch themselves. After about 20 years, low mileage or not, the bushings, dust covers, gaskets, rubber etc disintegrate. This posting has essentially zero information on all of the important items. Even auctions for similar cars with comparable or lower mileage that are well maintained plus the necessary information an informed buyer would be seeking sold for less. These cars don't do well at auction as they are generally a mess at that point, or at least assumed to be. Control arms shouldn't be an issue at those miles, and a heater core can be bypassed for $5 if not repaired. Factory clutch is on borrowed time at those miles and will be a $2000-4000 pain in the ass to DIY, or a near five figure repair if you want someone else to do it for you. At the end of the day, I'd rather pay $30k for something ready to go in near perfect condition, than trying to rehabilitate an auction rat I picked up for $10k less, in guaranteed less perfect condition, with another $10k in deferred maintenance.
I think you're vastly underestimating that figure, especially here on this forum. That said, if this is the case, it only weighs more into buying something with a fresh clutch.Very few people are doing things like changing the clutch themselves.
Everything does, but my 15 years of experience across owning 2 M138 platforms and maintaining several others, I've not see control arm issues inside of 35k miles. After about 20 years, low mileage or not, the bushings, dust covers, gaskets, rubber etc disintegrate.
I'd like to see what you're seeing at the auctions. I wasn't implying someone should buy this car sight unseen, I was saying it's worth what he's asking in the condition it's in, IF it has a fresh clutch and checks out. This posting has essentially zero information on all of the important items. Yes, we on the forums are more likely to try and do some things ourselves. Are there some that do? Absolutely. I'm curious to know how many on here have done their own clutch.I think you're vastly underestimating that figure, especially here on this forum. I was thinking the same thing, that blue exterior would really be lit off with Ferrari Tan or Saddle leather in there.Love the exterior color but hate the blue interior. Ivory would look great but probably wasn't offered.
I don't mind the blue interior but the saddle or ivory colors go really well with blueI was thinking the same thing, that blue exterior would really be lit off with Ferrari Tan or Saddle leather in there.
