For absolutely no reason other than being smitten with the QP V for years, I went and bought one. Already have four cars between the two of us at home, including an 03 Spyder GT with lots of chat about it on here.
Welcome the newest addition to the family, an originally Canadian 07 QP V Sport GT (ZF), about 90,000 km on it, lovely car, just enough of a project to make it fun and not a basket case.
Will use this thread to go through its many problems, mostly minor., and look forward to expanding my circle of friends to include more QP V owners!
More pics to follow once it’s had a proper bath.

The short list of issues so far (updated 3/6/24)
1. Passenger door mirror. Moves left and right, but not up and down. Highest priority of all the fixes, and hoping it's repairable without replacing the mirror assembly! Anyone replaced just a mirror motor before? Got part numbers? ** Update, I think it was the switch all along. Switch came apart in my hands today. Ordered from the dealer as they were, surprisingly, cheaper than Scuderia and eBay! **
2. Trunk lock cylinder turns in circles when you attempt to use a key on it. All Maserati owners have a special PTSD associated with trunk access.
3. Headlight bulbs are mismatched. One was replaced, other was not. Minor, but annoying.
4. Battery access door in trunk no longer latches in place. Suspect the base for the latches to be... gone.
5. Wheels/tires. I have the original wheels, one is cracked. Going to have the full set refurbed if the cracked one is repairable, and restore the tires to stock height - the low profile look is impractical on pot-holed streets... and is probably how the original rim got cracked. ** Cracked wheel is not salvageable, too far out of round, will have to source one new front wheel and refurb the rest**
6. No BT or CarPlay. Of course, I knew this going in. Not sure if going for a LoudLink or a panel replacement. Need to do more research here - is there a well established CarPlay screen replacement here? I see the SportsMaserati team in the UK has a solution, but it involves a visit to SportsItalia in the UK.
7. Would you believe, sticky issues? Of course you do.... some of the buttons were done on the center console, door window switches and a few others, not done yet.
8. Drivers side seat belt height adjuster doesn't slide.
9. Both seat belts in front are slow/fail to retract.
10. Rear window sun screen deploys but will not retract without being pushed.

Likely more to follow, but there's a start!

Welcome Todd!
Still, despite your list of irritations, I believe you will enjoy the ride. No doubt it will be more salubrious when the irritations are out of the way. Lots of information here on this forum; searches are usually very rewarding because owners have come up against many issues you list and threads often show a range of approaches to a solution. I recommend launching into the search options as well as seeking advice directly. I resolved sticky buttons lately by way of earlier posted solutions. No other direct solutions to other items on your list having not had a list like you have ..as yet…. But my luck may run out eventually😱.
Your photo look most appealing; a good decision to take the plunge😎

That is an excellent question! I was confused by the seeming mismatch of Exec/Sport features. It's a SportGT car - emblem on door, carbon fiber interior and such, but the grill is not the darker one expected. One wrinkle that may explain it, is that it is a Canadian car, so perhaps some sort of difference due to that.

Does it have the valved exhausts that the Sport GT has, the drilled rear rotors of the Sport; what about rear climate controls the Executive has?

Nice Todd.

Re: Carplay, given that SI has been closed down, and given the kit was originally intended to be 'self-install', maybe see if you can get one. Or better still get Naviplus from which it was copied. Both clunky though in comparison to alternative screen replacements. Guess its a question of whether retaining the factory look is important to you or not. If complete replacement is your preference then a method to connect the original HU is needed - to be able to reset certain functions.

Appears to have all the usual SportGT features, except the darker grille. Odd duck, but I like the chrome grille, so it all works out. Also, going to keep going back and editing that "to do" list of little things to work on, the list continues to grow.

@navcorr
I was looking at the Naviplus - actually have it sitting in my Naviplus "cart" online, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Retaining stock look isn't all that important, but ease of install is. Got a favorite setup given your experience? I'm not looking for a big stereo upgrade, just the usability of CarPlay for the phone features.

If ease of install is the main consideration then the AU Car option is probably the simplest choice.
@Robin Elliott is the chap to contact or search for more details. Including a few gremlins.
The NaviPlus / SI copy wouldn't be my choice. My favourite, albeit a full on Alpine install, was a chap over here - Leicesterminiracer.

First victory over the to do list, fixed the intermittent passenger mirror operation. As suspected it was the mirror adjustment switch. Bought the switch from the dealer (actually cheaper than online for some reason?), used an article here on ML and fixed it within a half hour. Easy day! Tomorrow, taking her to the paintless dent removal shop to pop out some very deep door dings.

More progress! A visit to Dent Solutions resulted in all of the door dings being popped out perfectly. So happy with that as the passenger door looked pretty bad. Overall paint condition is pretty rough. Car has been outside in Seattle for over a year, likely two years. Two hand washes required to get the sap and crusty pollen/dust off the car, but the paint still feels rough and looks spotty.
Broke out the polisher last night to start fixing it, as it was driving me a little crazy every time I walked out to the car. The hood alone took an hour. Still have most of the car to do, but the progress is sooo satisfying.
Pics below of a before and after of a section of the roof. Love having a job that shows immediate rewards like this.

That's a gorgeous, deep black. Love how it reflects the light. Congratulations!

Yep, two hand washes, time with a plastic scraper and goo gone, clay bar, then polishing compound to get it black again. One more wipe down with detail spray, then ceramic coating. Pretty rough paint - just did the deck lid and left quarter panel last night, for two hours. Will be lovely when it’s all finished - hardly show quality, but far more presentable than it was at purchase.
