M139 QP Brake Pads & Rotors Interchangeable??

I have an 06 QP, and in the next year or so I am going to have to replace the pads and rotors. But there is no way in hell I will be paying dealer prices for stock pads and rotors. The front pads for the qp have already been cross referenced with the following cars:

My Question is this. What other cars ROTORS will fit on our M139 Quattroporte??

If no one knows of any interchangeable part for the M139 QP than would someone be willing to take measurements of a brand new stock Front and Rear rotor from Masearti so we can find a matching part based on dimensions that would work for our cars??? The link to Brembo's vehicle application site is here.

Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We're working on a replacement rotor for the QP as well as a big brake kit in the future. As of now, I'm not aware of anyone who's producing any replacements. We do also sell the OEM rotors at a bit of a discount as well. If you're interested, give a call.

Best Regards,
-- Jeff

If you have been using the oem pads then the rotors tend to hold up reasonably well. If this is your first pad replacement on your QP you can likely stretch the rotors out. You may have to deal with some squeal for a while while the new pads bed in but at least it will bide you time until Jeff gets his rotors done!

Confirmed 850CI front brake pads work with 08 QP Sport GT.

However non of the MB ML class rears work for the rear.

Actually it is confirmed that the ML Pads will work as well too. I have purchased replaced the front and rear pads of my car with the above reference vehicles and it works great.

My question is has anyone ever tried the lifetime brake pads from Autozone / Pep Boys / Advance Auto? Supposedly you can just buy a set and exchange them for free everytime they wear out.

I had a pickup that went 300k miles and only paid for one set of brake pads. AutoZone hated to see me coming I bet everytime I needed brakes, but they always handed me a new set. Keep the receipt in the glove box and you are set.

I put O'Reilly lifetime metallic pads on my QP. They work and stop great, and cost just $50 per axle. The rears fit perfectly. The fronts, part # MKD639 were actually just a bit to long in the backing plate to fit the caliper, probably a result of less that stellar QC. I had to file the plate down just a touch on each end to move freely in the caliper then refinish the filed edges so as to inhibit rust. But have put some mile on them and all is good.

Do you have part numbers? Will this work for an '08 Exec GT or just the Sport GT?

The rear brakes pads are the same on all of the QP's 07+ and the GT's as well. The 05-06 QP's used a smaller pad.

This goes for the front as well, all QP's and GT's use the same front pad except in cases of the QP Sport GT-S and any new 4.7 QP or GT with the 6 piston front calipers.

FWIW, we do have Brake Rotors and Pads in stock for all Maserati models, prices are very good compared to the factory dealers. Our rotors and pads are quality parts proven to be quiet on these models which has typically been a big problem, especially on the QP / GT models.

Best Regards,

OK so this is what I know...

1. The fronts listed above (BMW 850 Ci, etc) will work on my '08 Sport GT.

2. The rears listed above (MB ML class) DO NOT FIT my '08 Sport GT.

3. I have confirmed and installed the rears of '10 Chevy Camaro 6.2V8 / Dodge Magnum / etc. I believe either the Sport GT's have a bigger rear calipers or '07/'08's have bigger rears.

So if any of you guys want a set of rear brakes, I have a generic set for the MB ML set ($40) and I have a Ferodo specifically for the Maserati rears $80 (non Sport GT). I bought the Ferodo Maserati pads thinking it would fit, but was actually the same size as the MB ML's. PM me if any of you want these.

Everyone is talking about break pads but no one is talking about rotors. I gave confirmed that front pads are interchangeable with BMW 850, does anyone know if front rotors are interchangeable with 850 as well or some other car? Please let me know.

Thank you

Garage
I recently emailed EBC and asked if they had any plans to rep the rotors. None as of yet.
