DSGT Bravo ! Fun, nice looking car. Nostalgia kicks in for me, my first car was a ( 1971 ) Fiat 124 coupe, and I still have very fond memories of it .

RobP I also prefer the looks of the Fiat 124 over the MX5, especially in Abarth trim. Enjoy!!

New Little Brother to the GranTurismo

Just picked up this Fiat 124 Spider Abarth. It has the Monza Record Exhaust and the Brembo brake package. I drove one with the Recaro seat option, but found them uncomfortable, so I stuck with the Abarth sport seats, which fit me quite well. Not a long distance cruiser, but It's a blast on the tight mountain roads. For those that are not familiar with the 124, it has a Mazda MX5 chassis, tranny, electronics and much of the interior (assembled in Japan on the same line as the MX5), but has Italian bodywork, suspension and motor (1.4 liter turbo/intercooled single overhead cam inline 4 - 164 bhp and 184 lbs./ft. torque w/ 2436 lbs. curb weight). The sport button (available only on the Abarth) makes a huge difference in throttle response. The lines are personal preference, but I prefer the 124 over the MX5 - it has a far more classic roadster look when compared to the very modern looking MX5.
