Was detailing the car today in the sun...wiped central AC vent with microfiber cloth and water and then it happened... The dreaded sticky plastic...Had some carbonfiber look wrap laying around and decided to wrap it. Check out my results pics attached.

3M makes an excellent gloss black wrap. I had my chrome deleted years ago and it has held up perfectly, completely matching the exterior B pillars.

Garage
Sticky Central AC Vent

That is very well done! How long did that take you? And could you give a little DIY breakdown on how you did it?

+ 1 . my sentiments exactly. I'm both embarrassed ( when I look at my garage ) and envious ( when I see garages this clean and organized )

Lol its alot of work! pot lights from homedepot, Exterior osb siding panels for the wainscoting, trimed out with 1x3, grind and vacume floor, apply100% highsolids 2 part epoxy 2 coats, 2 coat exterior paint the on the walls and wainscoting, then caulk with silicone.

Then installed the lift! And cabinets!

Also modified door track and installed a shaft mount liftmaster door opener!

Breakdown for the wrap. Remove the long dash trim peice. Unscrew vent 3 screws...lift up and pul out disconnect clock. Unscrew and remove vents and clock. Spray with easy off oven cleaner to remove sticky goo. Rub down with alcohol then wrap with carbon. There are many generic vids on youtube for the wrap process.
