Potential GT owner. Idle shake.

Hi everyone,
I'm about to pull the trigger on an 09 Maserati Granturismo S with MC shift. The car seems to drive pretty well but I noticed it seems to rumble or shake a bit at idle, nothing serious just a gentle shaking feeling. It doesn't feel like a misfire and the car runs well so I am wondering if this is normal for the GT or if there is a common issue that might cause this?

I can't remember another driving another car that has the same behavior.

thanks for any suggestions or advice!

These V8s do not idle very smoothly at the best of times. Might well be totally normal but get a second opinion form someone with experience and that can look in real life, as it were

Does it have an aftermarket exhaust or other mods installed? I agree to have it looked at.

Garage
Worst case scenario would be an engine mount. No biggie.

I have exactly the same 09 GTS MC Shift, and does the same at idle. Does not rune very smooth, but when you get used to the car, this is really noticable only if you put attention to it. My mechanic said it is totally normal, also no faults when connected to diagnostic tool. So I think if it's not really noticable should be normal.

It's not normal to me but you may want to change the spark plugs after purchase. Also, dump a bottle of fuel injector cleaner or Sea Foam to flush any gunk in the system.

Welcome aboard and good luck on the purchase. It can be motor mounts, spark plugs or more but if there aren't persistant codes in OBDII reporting a problem, hopefully it's all fixable without too much concern, always best to be looked at by a pro though.

Best Regards,
