09 granturismo f1 whine

Just picked up a 09granturismo and when letting off the gas it has a gear whine. Sounds like driving a manual transmission car in reverse. Is this normal or is there a internal problem with the trans/gearbox??? Thanks

I don’t know anything about the GT F1 trans, BUT for whatever it’s worth , on Porsches a whine on deceleration almost always points to a pinion bearing issue .

If it's as loud as driving a manual in reverse, then, no, that's not at all normal.

Sorry to hear that and we Agree, that is not a typical sound at all. However, that kind of issue is going to be pretty difficult to diagnose online. Try to find a shop that really knows the F1 cars in your area. A Ferrari specialist may also be able to help.

Best Regards
