Foxwell NT520

Has anybody used this scanner with the Maserati software, and can it shut off the "wrench" indicator?

Looks like the Granturismos are supported and you get 1 free vehicle specific software download.... Foxwell NT520 Pro Multi-System Scanner with Special Functions Updated Version of NT510

Here it show that it can read and erase codes only for the GT, I would contact them with your vehicle specs and functions you want to be sure. http://www.foxwelltool.com/upload/pr...ction_list.pdf

I wonder if it would clear an Air Bag code? I disconnected mine to install a set of paddle shifters, and now the air bag light is on.... :-(

I called our local import specialist shop, and asked if they would clear the air bag code - they said I'd have to leave the car with them for the day, and that it's not a simple operation (????????). My gut tells me all they are thinking about is $$$$.

Got my 520 today, ordered for Maserati but it came as generic OBD. I have a MacBook, you can’t even register the product without using PC windows. Downloaded “Parallel” for Mac (on trial) and was finally able to register and with some effort, download the Maserati software to the NT520.

It was worth the effort, I had been getting a suspension warning (yellow shock), the car road fine and my Indy said the shocks were fine. The NT520 scan showed the a right front sensor error. That I can fix or replace.

I second the OBDSTAR X-200. I purchased it from Amazon and out of the box, I was able to clear the stupid wrench symbol and rest my maintenance timer.

I was hoping that the Foxwell would work so that I could use it on my DB9 (with AM software) and the Mas with its software. I know that the Foxwell will work with the DB9 but was unsure about the Mas. Ergo my OP post here asking if anyone has successfully used the Foxwell on the Mas.

It's a great scanner for the cost but unless you can interpret the codes some of which are of course in Italiano it's of little use, it also threw up a number of false positive codes that were not valid errors.

Does anyone know if any of these scanners (besides SD2/3) will clear the SRS airbag light? I installed a new airbag ECU in my 2002 Spyder and looking for ways to reset the light without a dealer/independent...

So it sounds like you've used the Foxwell with the Mas software; if so, can you reset that damn wrench light?

Hi ngknick....I recently installed paddle shifters, disconnected the air bag but left the battery hooked up - stupid me. As a result I now get the air bag light and message display. I did look at the OBDSTAR X-200 but found out that it will NOT reset this code.
