Had a flat?

After bringing my 2015 GTS MC home last month, I discovered it has NO SPARE TIRE! (Actually, I wasn't too shocked, because I know this is a cost/space cutting trend with a lot of manufacturers.) And it doesn't concern me as long as I am driving in or near a major city. BUT, this fall we plan a trip, driving from Tulsa to Durango, CO, which will take us thru some long stretches of desolate country.
Question: Have any of you had flats? And what do you recommend as the best safety precaution against getting stuck with one in the middle of nowhere? The roadside assistance program doesn't give me much reassurance in the remote country we will be driving thru.

In 20 years of driving ferraris and maseratis that have had no spare wheels I have only had 1 flat tyre and I was able to repair with a can of tyre foam inflater. Some of these cars have one in the tool kit, I am not sure with your gts. I think you have tyre monitoring system in your car. If you don't have a can of foam buy some and keep for you journey.

Thanks, Frari. That was one solution I was considering, but I wasn't sure how effective it would be. I am glad to hear it worked for you.

It is fine as long as you have not driven very far on the flat tyre and ruined the side walls. A simple puncture is no problem for a can.

Shaving foam can is useless if there is a sidewall puncture

Correct, the tyre foam which has a glue in it is no good for anything larger than a nail hole. It is also a temporary fix however I have driven for a week before a new tyre arrived but this was city driving.

I have. In fact, someone flatted all four of my tyres when I was in Detroit and left my car for a minute, scratched the paintjob too, the bastard.

That is sooo chicken sh*t. It's probably good you didn't see it happening, because if you had confronted them, they might have shot your for owning such a nice car.
