This is a fail safe mode for all climate control systems. It's likely that either the software in the control unit has glitched, or there is a component malfunction. You can try disconnecting the car's battery, verifying it has a full charge and reconnecting it, hoping this will allow the control unit to reset it's self.

If this is not successful, you will need to visit your local Maserati workshop (dealer), and have them interrogate the system with the diagnostic computer, to find the malfunction.

its a well known issue and happens to a huge percent of ghiblis on the road. they either blow thru the defroster only, regardless of settings. another is they start to blow heat, when you ask for cold.. or if youre lucky enough you will have both.

the fix is one or more of the following, software updated, stuck diverter, air distribution actuator (673002712) or AC pressostat (675000048). requires a trip to the dealer!
