Anybody watch F1

Just seeing if there are any Formula 1 fans on here. I know itís off topic but I figured there must be some in here. New season starting and here in the states ESPN has taken over the televised rights and I miss the old NBCSN crew. Anybody else feel the same way. And Iím not a fan of the halo but I get it. Oh well I canít wait for the first race tonight or tomorrow wherever youíre at. Should be a good season.

Absolutely, can't wait. Think it's 10pm tonight pacific time. Didn't know about the ESPN thing, hope that works out as bad commentators can make it unbearable. Glad to see Hamilton on pole, thought Ferrari's were lining up to compete this year...we shall see.

Yup, I've been a huge fan for as long as I can remember, religiously watching every race on TV . I have attended just a few races in person ; Monaco twice, Montreal once, Singapore once ( superb experience to see a race at night time ) and last, Austin twice - but I am so disappointed in the new engines switch a few years ago that I almost gave up watching altogether . I'm certainly not going to see a race in person anymore ; once you listen to that muffled , sissy exhaust note ( compared to the good old days of the screaming , intimidating tone of those machines ) it pretty much ruins much of the experience ( for me anyway ) , so I'll just watch it on TV i suppose witn headphones playing my favorite tunes instead of listening to the lame broadcasters commentary, coupled with pathetic exhaust notes .

Great win today by Ferrari, but Mercedes has alot of pace!! Ferrari needs to find an answer or its going to be a long season. Ferrari got lucky with the Safety car coming out. If not, it would have been's Hamilton's race win. But I will take the win!!

Yup. And a shame for the Haas boys. They threw away the possibility for 2 great finishes.

Amazing sound. Forgotten how good...I used to go to the British Grand Prix through 80's as a family friend worked at Cosworths, wonder if we'll ever hear that again.

I was watching todays F1 race and right after the start and still the within the first lap, the broadcaster , in what I can only describe as an overly excited tone, announces : " Look at Vettel just running away with it and opening a HUGE GAP between him and Botas " ( who was right behind him in second place ) . Just FYI , when he made that statement that " run-away, huge gap " was 2/10 of a second. It's all relative, isn't it ?!

Watching on what? Not on until 6pm for me. Do you have a better option than ESPN?

On Comcast cable it's also on the ES2 channel and I believe it's always broadcasted live, but I record all of the races and the ones for which I'm not awake yet, I watch soon as I have my morning coffe :-) :-)

He does always seem a nice, level-headed guy. Glad he won with such a display of overtaking skill rather than it falling in his lap. I suspect Vettel has taken Verstappen off his Christmas card list...what a twonk :-)
