NaviPlus Touch Screen

Starting an install of the Navi Plus Touch screen with Android Auto and front and rear view cameras. Instructions are somewhat sketchily but the folks over (Australia) there are trying to be helpful. I will keep you posted on the results. Here are a few Pics....

Bumping this thread

Also interested in how the install went. I am getting ready to install one myself and am looking for feedback before I start.

Thanks!

Sorry Guys,,, Crazy end of 18 and new year. I just got back to the installation yesterday. I finished the install to include: Front Camera, Rear Camera, Touch Screen Overlay, Netro (which is the Android interface) and the Maserati Pas-T (which is basically the I/O for the Factory head unit interface unit. The install was straight forward. The disassembly was a pain. The was an issue with the initial start-up. All I had was a white screen which would fade to blue. I got with the Navi-Plus guys and they had interface unit labeled incorrectly. That required taking the head unit back out and switching the cables on the rear of the unit. Communication with the guys in Australia was somewhat slow. (14 hour time zones) Finished up around 10:00 pm EST. Will snap some pics and play around with it today. I did get connected to the internet and downloaded a few apps. (Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, Pandora. Also loaded Torque Pro and linked up to a ELM24 Bluetooth OBD2 to look at some data points Torque Pro lets you build screens and graph some parameters the computer is looking at ie O2 sensors, Throttle position, Air Flow and others. The unit came with an external mic which seems to work well so all the normal "OKAY Google" stuff is available.

This is a photo of the mislabeled interface unit and the video input cable on the rear of the head unit.

Here are a couple of pics of the front and rear cameras as well as a few screen shots. The phone button on the steering wheel is used to switch between your new screens and the original screen. All your original functions remain. The front camera comes on automatically when you shift from reverse to any other gear and stays on for 20 seconds. (you can increase of decrease the time) You can also select the front camera to come on when parking.

Thanks Statrue. Great pics!

I started the install last night and to say that the instructions are incomplete is a serious understatement. It's not working yet but I think I am almost there.

Statrue, do you happen to remember the color of the wires or the pin position in the harness that were your Can-H and Can-L? I have a Magneti Marelli Head unit and it does not have an (pink/white) or (pink/black) wires to correspond with the instructions.

Mine were Pink/white and Pink/black. But what they call pink is closer to a very light purple. I don't recall the pin position.

I also found an installation manual which showed the pin location for the CAN-H and CAN-L on another site. It is from a provider named Car Solutions. search for Maserati and Gran Turismo and use the interface with PAS-T. I attempted to post a copy but the file was too large. Here is the link. www.car-solutions.com
