Please help my navigation screen is white

Does anyone have a clue on how I can fix this ????? One day my screen started acting funny after Id drive fast in sport mode. Id have to restart a few times to get it to work now its just white all the time.

I know I can I just need to know whats wrong is it usually the entire unit or just the screen ?

The hard drive inside the radio / CD player NIT unit probably went bad.

And whats the procedure to fix this ? Is the hard drive in the screen or the unit under the screen?

Mine did this. It was fixed under warranty. They started by replacing the radio. Then maserati told the dealer the common issue was some cable. So they replaced that. Then finally they replaced the screen. No issue since they fixed it about 3 weeks ago.

Theres a very lengthy thread on the other Maserati forum (UK based) that describes how to replace the hard drive in the nav unit. Its not an easy process but apparently it can be done.

I can provide brand new hard drives (Endurastar) with an image to fix all white screen and rebooting issues on the 4.2 and 4.7 cars.
