Its not difficult once ya figure out where they go, especially if u have small hands and forearms. When u order them from Lorenz he can give u the instructions and a pic, the pic greatly helped me with proper placement. I will be glad to walk yall thru it over the phone as well once ya have them in hand.
Did you get the straps done, how difficult? Any hints? Where in Sunny Cal, I am in Ojai and new to this site. Please send any info on the cuts and straps.
Very very easy. Put top down 1/2 way to the point you have the most available space between the 2nd and third bars (with the one attaching to the windshield being the first). I suggest doing this with the car on as the top will move from this position when it is off. Look for where the the factory straps are, loop these around the 2nd and third bars just outboard of them. I remember reverse engineering it to see if there was an "ideal" place for the clasps on the straps and determined that whatever orientation was easiest to get them hooked would work w/o any negative effects on the top.
It should be a 5 minutes process for someone handy, and a 10-15 minute process for someone that needs instructions on the use of a screwdriver. It really is that easy. This is assuming that you have small hands. If big bear paws then it may take longer, or require the employment of a small teenager.
These things are great. Iíve bought several sets from Lorenzo and they always cure the issue with the third bow not flipping back and preventing the top from going down. These are a must have as your spyder ages!
