Still stripping, cleaning and treating the body! A lot of prep work going into it, but not cutting any corners! Some more parts to be sent out for powder coating and plating as well.

No not all by myself, I couldn't handle this big of a task on my own or get nearly this far along so quickly.

Here's some more from today. Got the windshield out in one piece, and to my surprise no rust under it either. Going to be scraping all of the glue out and working it down to the metal. I've already gone so far with it so now want to make sure every corner is cleaned, prepped before it's sent to paint. Coming along nicely so far! Even added some nice "window tints"

This restoration looks fantastic!

I have most of the parts needed to convert to Euro style bumpers. The bumpers themselves (made out of polished aluminum), new license plate lights, new Euro front turn signals, rear valence, good used Euro four pipe exhaust.

Contact me at ivan@thecarnut.com if interested.

That's the way to go!

The full Euro-spec conversion would of course also require a flat engine cover, a trident for the front, plus replacing the side markers with small Euro-style ones (and blanking off the holes of the US-version). Anything else?

I am still toying with the idea of making it a Euro-spec, not sure though. I'm a huge fan of originality. The car is coming along great, I will post some more photos later on in the day. Still have not sent it out to the booth yet, wanted to make sure every corner on this car is prepped correctly before shooting it so it's taking some time!

Well the Merak is starting to finally come together. I have not posted updates in a while (sorry about that). The whole car has been painted to its original white. I decided to keep it the same original color and stay down the path of originality as much as possible.

All of the black sections are redone completely now as well. Suspension is starting to be installed along with the brake system.
