Smile Buying a Maserati :)

Hello to everyone, i found this forum searching for Maserati pictures, so i thought, why not
I'm relatively young, and i really like Maseratis. Especially Quattroporte.

So i wondered... how expensive is to buy one? Here in croatia they cost about 1 200 000kn (about 150 000€ or so.... New ones).
But i see on autoscout24 these ones for example:
Gebrauchtwagen: Maserati, Quattroporte, Executive GT DuoSelect, Benzin,

Gebrauchtwagen: Maserati, Quattroporte, Executive GT DuoSelect, Benzin,

Gebrauchtwagen: Maserati, Quattroporte, Automatic, Benzin,

So, they are all around some 25-35k euros. Why so?
and they all seem pretty much in good shape.

I am not trolling, i just love maseratis, and one day, soon.. i will earn myself one.

Thank you for your answers

Clutch issues on early models, F1 system not so reliable as the '08 and newer automatic gearboxes, high maintenance cost and the list can continue. Make sure you have a place to service the car before you buy, eastern europe isn't there yet as far as dealers and shops for these type of cars. I am from there and I know how things work on that part of the world, isn't about buying a Maserati but more about maintenance and affordability. Everything on these cars isn't cheap and if you buy one read these forums before doing so, this is the best tool a future dreamer/owner has as far as I know. Ask around and do your homework before you make the decision or you could end up with a piece of italian art on rubber in your garage, nothing wrong with that but what a disappointment that would be for you.
I wish you luck and don't forget that if it's too good to be true then it isn't, there is a reason why these are so cheap...

Some '07s QPs come with ZF auto with good reliability. You can make that out my looking at picture of the gear shifter.

Some of '07 late models and even the ones with the auto-gear looking shifter from 2007 aren't what they seem to be, this comes from the head tech here at FoS so be advised...
To confirm which one is what always get the VIN# and talk to factory dealer before you go any further, they can tell you what's what.

P.S.There is a huge chance that my GS MCV will soon be sent to Europe for sale, I have a good friend of mine in Germany in the business and in a day or so we'll will talk details and what needs to be done, prices here in the US don't get close to what a Maserati is worth in other parts of the world.

Ah soooo......

That thing was also not too clear for me, why some QP have gear shifter, and some have that little thingy

Thanks people, keep writing.. It really means a lot to me.

And, if anyone is ever comming near Split, feel free to contact me. I would be glad to see a qp live. ....And not to look like a suspissious guy standing 6h around a maserati.

At this time I am in touch with a buddy of mine in Deustchland, he's been in the car business for some time now. Croatia....I don't think so, beautiful women there and they party like most out here don't know it but exotic cars...not yet for me to make it that far. Back in the '90's I partied in Timisoara with your compatriots and OMG what a blast that was, good old days from the university times. hi5.

The good thing about east-european markets is that there is cash available, not always legit cash but there is plenty and some have access to it, in the states people realized that if they walk away from a mortgage loan the bank will let them stay in the house for free for years and no one needs credit or wants any or simply can't qualify for it. People with cash tend to hold on to it and cars generally just like jewelry rarely are called investments. Whoever ends up buying my car will do it not because he can afford to spend close to $60k but because he has plenty of financial resources and loves this particular model, I will not sell it to someone who I will think doesn't deserves such car. Europe also has a very high import tax and this could be a big issue and if it's not worth it the mcv will stay in the states for the time being. So far the car was amazing and i enjoy every minute driving and looking at it. To me even when gone the mcv will always have a special place in my heart, it is a car with an amazing feel to it.
