Hi Guys,

My Ac compressor has packed it in and cant be rebuilt I was told, any other units we can use other then a Maserati part? dealer wants 1600 just for the part

Yeah I just replaced mine and it was $1600. Best to buy a new one and not drive around with old one too long as you'll hear it spinning and grinding!

Who makes the compressor? There's got to be another way to get this thing rebuilt.

I used to work with this place below to get my Alfa compressors rebuilt for $200 instead of $1000. Might try them...

Yeah, my mechanic who works on Ferraris and Maseratis exclusively really recommended a new one and he never pushes anything so I took his advice. Said rebuilding not a good idea here. I think they're like $2800 on Ricambi!!

I did do some research prior to replacement and a couple guys on here did rebuild them, so it may be an option. I think its the same one as a 360. Best of luck!

Rebuilding was not an option, just wondering of another style will work made for another car as this is just an ac Delco unit

I was told no, the AC compressor is only for Ferrari or Maserati.
