Hi Folks: I wanted to check if members have any special tips on how best to clean the exhaust on the QP. I've an '06 with 31k miles with stock exhaust and I notice it's a bit dirty down there. I was going to use just the general carwash liquid etc. but does anyone apply any metal polish or other treatment to the metal? I'd like the exhaust looking shiny new. |

I use a wheel brush dipped into soapy water and slightly shake to get off excess water. Put brush into exhaust as far as possible. Rinse off brush and do once again. Once the car runs, it will push out any additional water. I also get underneath and hand wash the mufflers like the rest of the car. Best to do on the tire phase of the wash so the ground is not too soaked. NeverDull or Simichrome on the polished parts work great. Not sure about the Maserati, but you may be able to take off the exhaust caps and really polish them off othe car. Former '85 Biturbo E owner 20+ years ago. |
