I wanted to take apart my headlight and update it with a spray of tint on the silver part but i was told that If I remove my headlight from its harness I would need to go to the dealer to reprogram them. can anyone tell me if that is true?

I cannot be 100% sure but doubt very much that you need to re-programme.

However, you will find it FAR EASIER to tint the outside glass. The light assembly is a sealed unit and not easy to take apart without damaging it.

There are many solutions for tinting the outside glass ranging from applying tint film through to applying tint paint.

This will produce exactly the same effect as tinting the silver. I believe the QP GTS models have a factory tint on the glass and these look great.
