Default question regarding front license plate bracket...

did several searches and couldn't find anyone with a factory? front bracket...attached is pic...I removed the 4 screws from underneath but that still leaves 2 rivets? going in from front--just cuts the heads off and it removes? thanks for any insight!

I have long concluded that my car will never see a front end bracket. I will invent new ways to drive home if I have to and I will dutifully pay my fines if I get caught. And to the cop that pulls me over in the future and asks, "sir, why haven't you affixed the front plate to your car?" My response will be, "officer, who should I make the check out to?" I will fight this battle for eternity. They will have to impound my QP before I mess up the front of this car. I'm sure Battista Pininfarina would back me on this one.

I never installed bracket for front plate on my QP. Just keep it into gloves compartment. Always you can invent to say something to cop - it is a QP, not even BMW or MB. They stopped me few times for small things, did not ask about plate. Do not want to say NEVER.....

Well said! I will also donate to the fraternal order of police each and every time. I have been pulled over once or twice in my life and this mentioned (never put them on my bimmers either) and always say I don't have the bracket or something to that affect.

Default front plate holder

twinturbo,
when I bought my QP I asked the dealer to remove the front bracket and put it in my trunk. They did. I will look at it tomorrow and see if i can figure out how they did it. I believe I saw two plastic "anchors " still in the bumper, but they are same color , so not noticible.

Based on the picture below, I am guessing that these are either screw caps that come off (maybe insert a small blade to try to pry off) or that there is some sort of special friction tool that can turn these to unscrew the fixing to the rear bushing...

Check out a company called bumperplugs.com I think they will color match for you to fill in those holes. Hope it works for you.

Many thanks Gentlemen...should have thought to ask parts dept for blow up...just can't seem to locate the nut behind there..also used the bumper plug folks for the ol' twin turbo..just set in with silicone as they were a tad small..will make sure in can order the fasteners first and then off with their heads! Unfortunately, soon as I drove her home I had surgery next day..so all I can do now is hobble to the garage and gaze......

Thanks again everyone!
