Default what are the best aftermarket brakes for Maserati

Hi
I have 2006 Quattroporte Maserati; I am looking not reliable brakes for Maserati,

Did anyone try any brand such as red EBC brakes, and do these fit with the brakes sensor, and would the sensor still work with these ones?

Thanks a lot for your help

I have the Formula Dynamics Carbon/Kevlar pads and they stop about 40% better than the OEM's and very little dust and no squeak. They stop so good that passengers in my car have "grabbed the dash" thinking that there is no way this car will stop in that short of space. Also, the brake dust is reduced by about 80% so that is a HUGE advantage for me as its a problem.

You can't go wrong with either Formula Dynamics or EBC. Both will be upgrades over stock (which suck BTW). I'm currently running on the EBC Yellow Stuff.

That's good to know Vincenzo, because I initially ordered them but my mechanic had some FD pads in stock and put them on while I wasn't looking.

So if you think about it, the rear EBC pads I bought were $80 and the fronts are like $120 and any knowledgeable mechanic can drop them in for $200, so a full brake job would run about $400 and the brakes are better performing. I'm guessing the dealer would charge around $2,000.

We have several compounds currently for the 4200 (4 in total) depending on your driving situation. The most popular are the Carbon / Kevlar (Street Performance) and our Quiet Pads. We also have 2 compounds of pads that are even more aggressive for the street / track enthusiasts!

Best Regards,
-- Jeff

I installed the Formula Dynamics pads myself. Love them. Piece of cake to install. 15 minutes a side.
I should tell you that the FD pads I installed did not have provisions for the sensor. They depend on an old fashion soft metal piece touching the rotor when they have 10% life left. The noise from metal to metal is plenty loud of a warning to replace the pads.

They are quite expensive, but well worth it. Give Jeff a ring, I purchased them through Formula Dynamics.
