Default Bought a QP - but needs a different exhaust!!

Picked up an '07 Executive QP, Metallic Black, full auto. Sold the GS about a month ago and was hoping the dealer would have one for me. I actually went there to buy a used '08 CL63 they just got on trade but I just couldn't stray from Italian... and I'm glad I didn't.

Anyway, exhaust sounds great but it's just too quiet for my tastes. I know there are a lot of threads on exhausts, but what would be most comparable to the Sport QP exhaust? I think that sounds about perfect for this type of car.

TIA.

Congrats on your car! I just installed a Larini exhaust on my QP Sport GT this morning. The sound is incredible but not annoying while crusing! I'll take some vids and post them later this week.

Congratulation, it looks great. I love the chrome mask of the Executive GT, it was my first choice to buy but eventually I shifted to GT-S for the sport package. Agreed the engine sounds great, but it's a luxury model, you really think you want it to sound like a sport vehicle. It's great to learn that Larini can give you incredible sound but not annoying. Tell us more about your modifications if it's done.

Very smart you didn't. M-B's are nothing but problems and their values drop like rocks!

Beautiful and very classy car.

We have had good results with Larini. It seems people especially like the Larini over the Tubi for the QP's because that's more of a cruising car and they want a good volume increase and sound without having that booming, resonant vibration.

Let us know if you have any questions...

Unfortunately not yet. It will take a few months.

I know, it's hard to imagine a car that depreciates worse than a Maserati from MSRP but the AMG's certainly do. But it really came down to just liking the Maserati so much more, hard to duplicate that italian soul.

Cool Booming vibration?

Hey Jeff, some people think the Tubi sound is wonderful, not boomy and certainly no vibration; some people also think the Larini is a high-pitched nasal version of the Tubi on the cheap

Huh ? In terms of reliability and depreciation, I think M-B 's are like Honda's and Toyota's compared to Maserati's.

2 M-B's for the family mobile, no issues. Wouldn't buy an M-B, no reason to, they became like every other car, same as BMW - lease, and move on to a new one. Buy used Porsche's, Aston's, Ferrari's, and, now, Maserati's.
