Very nice. Looks like some other nice cars in that garage.

That explains it. Thought the garage was in Modena. Where is it? Seems really large.

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on moving to Dubai next year and looking to purchase a 08/09 Gran Turismo.

I've looked on Dubizzle and there seems to be a few, I'm just wondering if the summer heat effects the car, or if you guys know of any reliability issues with this year of car.

Are there issues with servicing or parts?

I'll be using it as a everyday commuter.

How are the people you deal with on Dubizzle?

Thks JD

Be sure to put on some high quality tints (I have clear ones) to keep interior cool so the plastics don't melt and get sticky, this can be avoided by parking in the shade. Be sure to have air filter changed more frequently due to dust and change fluids and check tyre pressure often. Other than that, you'll enjoy having something more special than a 911, which is a dime-a-dozen car in Dubai.

What you need to be careful of is the running costs.

In Dubai you have 2 options to service the car: 1) dealer (pricey) and 2) ARM (less pricey, but not cheap by any stretch) both will do a fine job, but be prepared for the occasional big bill. Such is life with these cars.

If you pick up one that is still under dealer warranty, that would be ideal.

Also, if you plan to drive in the city everyday, you are better off with an Automatica version vs. the F1; you'll also save some $.

Good luck with the move and keep an eye on Dubizzle, you can find some good deals, but be sure to insist on an inspection at the dealer or ARM to make sure you aren't picking up someone else's problems.

Deals on wheels and auto souk but not sure on the quality. Deals on wheels looks good but it could all be smoke and mirrors!

I've bought both the masa and a Discovery through Dubizzle. So long as one is sensible as JP says and don't hand over money in advance, then nothing to worry about using Dubizzle. Assuming with buying a masa you know your cars that is.

I've been here since August.

Dear all,

Some good news.

I met with Al-Tayer's marketing manager today who will give us complete VIP access to the Maserati Trofeo lounge (food / beverage), pits, track, and allow us to test drive some of the new models. There will also be a play area for children if you want to bring your families along.

What I need from you ASAP:

Please send me a PM with complete name, email, mobile #

I will pass this info to the marketing manager at Al Tayer who will then send you an official invitation.

If you have friends who are Maserati owners and would enjoy such an event, please let them know and pass their details on to me. This would also be fun for people who are curious about the brand and are considering making a move to Maserati. Finally, who doesn't like to see and hear Maserati Trofeo race cars in action???

Thanks guys and please respond ASAP (including names of those you will be bringing with you).

Best,

JP
