Default My baby is gone

I am traveling and did not have time to post before but I wanted to say that my baby is gone. I sold my 2007 Quattroporte CPO ZF (always maintained by FM) in May and I believe the purchaser will be a very good father and will take good care of it.

After I finish all my business trips that will last for most of the rest of the year I will decide what to buy next. A QP 4.7 or GranTurismo is definitely on top of my list. Ferrari and Aston Martin are there too should what I am doing businesswise produces additional results.

I already miss my baby. So gorgeous, so beautiful, so special!

I am of course staying active on the forum.

Sunshine

Hey Sunshine, sorry to hear that sad news! I was kind of looking into trading up to a QP GTS from my 2007 Sport GT but found it so hard to let her go! So holding onto her for at least another year.

Best of luck on the next purchase and good to at least hear you are still with us on the forum.

I hope your travels are for the best. I know you'll be back to a Maserati soon.

M- I, too, have considered grabbing a newer QP but each time I take a close and serious look I realize that I actually prefer the '07. The differences are subtle, but not irrelevant. If the upcoming QPs trump my Formula Dynamics-enhanced '07 Sport GT then I'll reconsider.

THANK YOU for your messages!

The reason why I will continue posting on the Forum is not just because I have a real experience with Maserati and because I will seriously consider another Maserati for my next car, it's also thanks to people like you who love cars (and especially Maseratis) and who are sharing their thoughts and experiences in a nice way on the Forum.

My heart said something different but my brain was right: why keep QP sitting in my garage for about 5 months, collecting dust and rarely being driven (it was a daily driver) when anyway I will change her after I come back?

I am excited about the news regarding the new QP: 520hp/V8, bigger than the current one, I hope the same elegant gorgeous design but updated, ... I am considering the GranTurismo too but if the new sedan is like this, then the QP may well be way on top of the list (and I may not even think of Ferrari and Aston Martin because QP would already be in the top league, and I believe for much less money than the other brands).

I'm sure I'll regret selling my mcv and I'll miss it much once gone but things come and go in this life, got today an older 2001 CL500 with 28k miles on it, not a Maserati but what an amazing ride considering it's 11yo. I like the options, the interior is gorgeous and the dark blue just my alley.

When do you get the Larini, and the DBW and ECU, and the wheel spacers, and the smoked windows, and...

Congrats! Looks like a nice find.

I miss my GS that I sold a few months ago. By far, the best car I've ever sold.

Not traveling like others, but just crazy busy. No sense in having a car sitting in the garage unused while making payments and covering insurance.

Hopefully, next spring I can get back into a Maserati. Maybe a QP or a GT. I miss the feeling I got when I had the opportunity to drive something so special.
