Default Shadowline Matte Trim Photos. Sets off entire car

Gentlemen:

If anyone wants to black out the chrome door trim check out BMW Shadowline Matte & Gloss Black Window Trim & Roof Vinyls and get a professional installer.

The trim cost me $45.00 the installer cost me $200.00.

The results are AMAZING!

I am extremely happy with how the trim came out. According to the dealer sticker on the lot, Shadow Line ( Black Matte ) trim is a 1,700 option. For $250.00 you can get the same effect and if you want to change it back to chrome, just peel it off. The installer had my car for four hours. They did an excellent job.

Please see the photos and let me know your thoughts. I felt the chrome trim did not go with the tint, and dark wheels. Now I am all set.

Thanks. CM

Looks very nice!

I'm going to do the same on mine!

Question, Does it have to be a special vinyl?

Honestly, I have no idea if any vinyl will work. I just went with the one advertised by BMW Shadowline trim because of the reviews I read and the pictures I saw.

I know they offer matte as well as gloss black.

Good luck and post some photos!

Any idea if it easy to do the door handles yourself?

I asked my installer, total price for handles and trim is 910 usd.

was waiting for you to post pics when done. Great car and now with the black trim it really sets the look to the next level. Well done.

This is exactly what I was hoping to do on my Nero Carb. car. I agree the chrome is off-putting. Its looks great! Congrats.

I had this done on my QP (chrome surrounds and 4 door handles). They did a good job. The company is called Totally Dynamic and I used their North London franchise. They asked if they could remove the door handles to get a proper, seamless wrap and I am glad I went down that route. Still looking good after 7 months.

Check out their wrapped Maseratis, Ferraris and Lambos. Some of them look incredible. I have to assume it is very expensive for a top notch wrap? CM

I think it was around £350. Which is probably less than 10% of fitting with Maserati OEM parts. As mention the wrap can be (carefully) removed if a future owner wants to revert to the chrome. I have kind of a personal policy of only making changes that are easy to put back to OEM.

Funny, on the GTS I think it's standard? I really prefer the chrome accents. Lol.
