I just made my mind to buy myself a Maserati :) I have a couple questions that I would like to ask to further my research and your advice will definately reflect in my decision towards the purchase of this car.

I am planning to purchase a Maserati Quatrroporte 2005/06.

I have heard horrible stories of clutch replacements. My question is if the car is driven in manual mode(paddle shifters) at all times, will that diminish the chances of clutch wear ?

Modena, 16 May 2012 – The 3850 metre Jarama circuit, in Spain, will stage the opening round of the 2012 Maserati Trofeo MC World Series. This year the calendar will include an event in the United States (Infineon, 23 September) and in China (Shanghai, 4 November). The six-race series will also include rounds at Portimao (3 June), Imola (24 June) and Paul Ricard (22 July).

The series appeals to gentleman from all around the world drivers and will be even more interesting this time round given the rule changes and new technical regulations that Maserati have introduced. The GranTurismo MC Trofeo now boasts a new, lighter, aerodynamic set up that improves the car’s performance.

The drivers will all be out to catch David Baldi, the 2011 champion, while the teams will also be up against each other in an Overall classification as well as going for the Team title.
The data analysis session provided by Maserati engineers has also been confirmed for the upcoming season.

Hi:

I just ordered my 2013 Gran Cabrio Sport for late august/early September delivery. It will have the redesigned front fascia, 10 more hp and 20lbs more torque than the 2012.

I'm unsure about the interior color, and wondering if any of you had any input that may help me?

Here's what I ordered:

Granito exterior
Bianco interior w contrast black stitching
Grigio Chrono carpets (onto which I will put custom black sheepskin floor mats)
Doors in dual-color trim (black outsides with white centers (by handles)
Carbon fiber interior trim (wheel and wood pieces) and exterior trim
Yellow calipers
I will mount the FD Veloce Corsa wheels in gray.

My question: What do you think about white interior here? My other options, IMHO, would be Pearl Beige or to go black interior w/red contrast stitching - in which case, I would change caliper color as well. But I kinda wanted a lighter-colored interior this time, as I am switching from a Bentley GTC that has black leather w white contrast stitching. Thoughts?

New Vredestein Tire - UltraC Vorti

Formula Dynamics wanted to help introduce the new Vredestein *UltraC Vorti - Sport Luxury Tire* which is available in direct fitment sizes for the...

Formula Dynamics wanted to help introduce the new Vredestein UltraC Vorti - Sport Luxury Tire which is available in direct fitment sizes for the Maserati 4200, GranSport, Quattroporte, GranTurismo and Gran Cabrio Models.

As many of you may know Formula Dynamics has offered Vredestein Tires for many years (primarily the UltraC Sessanta Model). However, this new tire range is an excellent choice for Maserati QP, GT and GC owners.

The tire is co-designed by the Italian design firm Giugaro, which many of you will recognize, having designed Maserati Body Styling as well. This new tire is a true Ultra High Performance (UHP) Wet / Dry Tire.

Here are some of the details, direct from Vredestein:

The Ultrac Vorti is an Ultra High Performance tyre in the absolute top segment of the market. The tyre was developed in close collaboration with the Italian design company Giugiaro, and its slimline design and asymmetric profile give this tyre an extremely sporty and unique appearance. The tyre excels in terms of grip, handling, comfort and braking behaviour on both dry and wet road surfaces. By making use of innovative technologies, the tyre is also surprisingly quiet. The Ultrac Vorti is also available in rear axle sizes with an adapted profile and specially-tailored structure, especially for sports cars that have different tyre sizes on the front and rear axle. Due to the fact that it is the front tyres that dissipate the majority of the water when the road surface is wet, the focus for the rear tyres was on increased grip and stability

Of course, these tires are available direct from Formula Dynamics and we are able to ship them to the install center of your choice, all around the USA / Canada. We can also install these tires combined with a set of our Sport / Luxury wheels (pre-installed). Please email us directly for a quote : info@formuladynamics.com

Last of all, here is the new video introducing the Tire :
