Center Console NIT Moulding - Group Buy

After a long search I have been able to get my hands on the "silver box NIT Bezel". It was missing when I bought the car and I found that Maserati no longer makes the part. It proves to be as fragile as the other Maserati plastic parts so there are little to no used parts available.
In light of this I am considering offering a group buy. The part I purchased is brand new and I have reached out to someone who I know that does urethane castings. If I can get 10+ people that are interested the cost would be $150 each. It would be cast in Black out of urethane which will be more much more durable in the long run.
If there is sufficient interest I will see it through. If there isn't I will install the part and fix it when it brakes in a few years.
Joe

I tried to order one from Eurospares last year. They took my order but later refunded my money and said Maserati no longer makes the part. It is possible I got bad info but that is what I based my comment on.
Lorenz I have not yet placed the order. I got a quote so that I could put it out there with the actual cost. I amatorized the cost of the tool over 10 parts. As stated if I can get people to commit to 10 parts I will place the order.
A few other details. Making the parts takes a little over 2 weeks and the $150 would include the shipping via UPS ground within the US.

It's probably about 3-4 large pieces, and of the smaller ones, there may be some missing

Looks like there is very little interest here. If I don't get a bunch of interested people this week I won't bother moving forward.

I may be able to repair it as i have saved many of these from getting put into the trash. If you send it to me and give me time we may be able to save it and reinforce it from the back side of it. But i will need every single piece. Send me a pm if your interested

How does one go about properly removing the bezel. In an attempt to remove mine, I ended up braking the bottom the bottom 2 tabs, didn't realize there were two screws at the bottom. That being said, I also ended messing mine up because I tried to use a paint stripper on it so I can spray paint it, but something went wrong and it looks like there are cracks on it now. So if there are any good ones out there, I can use one.

Hi Masera, yea you just cant use anything on these plastics. You have to be very carefull or things end up getting costly. How bad Is your cover. Is it warped or distorted or melted?

It's not warped, distorted or melted. After applying the stripper and seeing what looked like cracks, I sprayed it heavy with primer filler in hopes to fill the cracks and sand it down to a decent finish so I can spray it. But, I am losing too much time and now interest.

I had exactly the same thing removing the cover - didn't realise there were two lower screws and broke one corner lof the case when levering it out. Have shipped everything (nobs, switches, vent covers etc to Lorenz, for refinishing all the sticky stuff, and hope he can work a miracle and also repair the CD cover. We'll see. (PS - no pressure Lorenz!!!)

For future reference, the only way to remove the cd cover safely is to remove the console, then unbolt the cd from the console. Once the cd is away from the console you can see all 4 of the screws and remove easily.
