I would deeply appreciate instructions on how to remove the center console bezel. I have removed the screw under the coin compartment (red arrow) and can clearly see the screw located under the ashtray (red arrow). The two yellow arrows point to two hex-screws on the underside of the bezel. I think I can remove them with a racheting 90 degree screwdriver using a hex-screw bit. I have marked the photo with a yellow ? at the top of the bezel. Are there hidden screws underneath? If so, I think I have no other option than to follow the posted guide on how to remove the entire center console. Trying to avoid extra steps and difficulty of sliding leather over e-brake (which to me seems without trying almost impossible). Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
There is one or two screws under the ash tray/mirror switch.
To access those you need to remove the console unfortunately.
Not horrible but I did it when I took the seats so it was not so tight in there....
I believe the red arrows in my photo are the screws you mention. The yellow arrows are two hidden screws (under surface) that I have found using a mirror. Looking to see if anyone who has dismantled the bezel might recall if there are hidden screws at the top edge of the bezel. I would rather not learn the hard way by prying it up. If not, I will work on removal of the complete console. Thank you.
I've done it. No way getting it out with the console in place.
You can only access the screw(s) from the bottom of the console.
There is no problem with the HB leather boot. Just undo the snap button and it slides right through...
As noted by others - you have to remove the console. Instructions can be found at the link below in a file named "SPYDER center console tunnel removal" (or something close to that in name)

Please note that on page 12 of this document it states "Wiggle the tunnel toward the rear to release the front holding tabs" - my 2005 Spyder actually had bolts/screws holding the front it place. I fought for several minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't pull back...well it was bolted down...that's why! Just a caution point.
Thank you! I came across the google doc last night and followed the instructions. The center console can be lifted but I am having one hell of a time sliding the leather boot over the e-brake handle. I have applied leather conditioner to the handle but the boot is not budging. Tonight I will attempt to remove the grip handle from the e-brake using an allen wrench as I spotted what I believe to be a tiny hex nut at the very bottom of the handle (floor side).
Ive had many of these apart. once you remove the screws thats when you need to be carefull moving the console around. Tape up them metal tabs and wrap a think towel around it. They will tear up your console if you dont.
