2006 GS Modification Thread (DIY)

Hello. My name is Christian and I purchased a 2006 Gransport this summer. It is black exterior with Cuoio interior and I love the car. I am an engineer by trade and now happen to own a manufacturing company. I am also a severe tinkerer and have historically enjoyed fabricating things myself with other cars/bikes that I have owned. The GS will be no different so I started this thread to chronicle my car and anything I do to it.

Below are some pics of the car. I will update this thread as the changes occur.

Cheers!

Second thing I am going to tackle, the terrible "squish" pipes underneath as well as a secondary cat gutting. I will be using an oval pipe made from a 3" Dia 304SS pipe and 3"-2.5" transitions at each end. I plan to segment and "pie cut" the oval pipe so it wraps around the steering rack's heat shield. I will post more pics as the work gets done.

Cheers!

They were visible for a short time yesterday. Is there a minimum membership time/number of posts required for pictures to be displayed?

Nope. The symbol is a bit odd as well. Are you sure the source is open to the rest of us, as it were?

Instead of uploading the files as jpg images, he linked pics from another source. In this case a google server. That server no longer has the content. When the images first appeared, everything was fine. Then when the do not enter sign appeared, that's an indication of user restricted content. Now everything is gone from the post and the google server does not have the content at all. Might try just uploading them unless you feel some need to retain control of them.

Got those sections installed and the secondary cats stripped. It sounds way better without making it overly loud or raspy while retaining the nice sound profile the car came with. I could still use a bit more volume but I am happy to know that that ridiculous squished pipe is no longer there.

Cheers!

A look at what was in there:
