It's been good thus far although I've only taken it out for one longer drive (not my daily driver) and it's still pretty cold here in the north east. We'll see when the temp warms up. On a side note, I called the company I ordered the materials from and they said I should have no air flow issues what so ever. Only time will tell.....

Hello all...after a 100 mile drive today I'm happy to report that there were no over heating issues! Hoping this holds up on 90 degree days.

Hey PhillyMaser; I liked the change you made, so I took out the black "chicken wire" and followed your instructions for a new look for my car.
Thanks; Howard

Good job to both of you. Maybe Jeff @ FD should buy the idea from you and offer the grill as a mod.

Hey Howard - I know it's been awhile but I just saw your post. I'm glad my instructions worked out for you. Your car looks amazing. If you can, post some additional pics. I'd love to see.

I love it! I definitely want to do that with the front and rear of mine!

For me, the mesh is far too fine and I am suprised if it does not reduce the air flow through the grill.
Other than changing for changing sake, I think the original black mesh looks best, even better than the later slat grill, and silver mesh grill.
All personal taste though!
Cheers
Mike

Thanks; I don't have many pictures, but here's a close up when I first completed it. Howard

Hi All; I got the stainless steel expanded metal from an online site. (www.metalbytheinch.com) I got the 3/4 inch mesh, and I tried to polish it up some, but wasn't very successful. I don't remember the cost, but it wasn't that much as I recall. Howard

I just think it is funny that a new grille for my 07 QP EXec GT cost $1000.00+ and a new single tail light with the bezel, bulbs etc.... was only $275.00
