Default Finally installed the DBWEM and found a good shop in San Jose

Bought a 2006 GS Spyder about six months ago. Love at first sight, and was a deal. Since then I never really liked the way it drove. The transmission was such a pain when going slow and in traffic. Purchased the FD DBWEM in May, but was nervous to install it my self, and decided to wait until the warranty ran out anyway. The dealer in Redwood City did not want to touch it. Then I discovered that the shop in Club Auto Sport in San Jose (Borelli Motor Sports) was open to the public---thought it was only for club members. They installed it for me (Cheap) and it is like having a new car! I love this car now! And......I have a great shop to do my work now. Highly recommended for all work on high end cars. Now for some suspension work.

The DBWEM can be purchased from Formula Dynamics. Install is very easy and can be a DIY job for most people with an hour or two (and the inclination).

Yes, I got it at Formula Dynamics. Did not have the guts to cut wires, but it was done for less then $200---should have done it long ago. I was actually thinking of getting rid of this car before the installation. Even in Auto mode it drives much better. Just tried auto to see if my wife would like it. I always use sport and manual mode.

Glad to hear that Borelli Motorsports took good care of you and that the system is performing well!

I have to say that the techs at this shop asked the right questions and seemed to genuinely care that they got the best results possible. I have a feeling we will be working with them much more in the future!

Best Regards,
-- Jeff

Does installing this let you drive in auto mode without killing the clutch? Also if you are not in sports mode does it feel like you are now that you added it ?

With or without the DBWEM, auto mode does not "kill" clutches. With that said, the DBWEM works fine with auto mode.

No. You can still tell the difference between regular and sport/power modes.
