Well Gang,
After 7 months of selling my two vehicles ('02 Maserati Coupe & '83 Jalpa) and looking for a Countach. I finally found one, and BOUGHT IT!!!
Yes, you saw that right! I actually, FINALLY bought a Countach!!!
I ended up locating a 1986 5000 Quattrovalve out of New Haven, CT. The car is Rosso Siviglia w/ Champagne Leather interior. Rear Wing, Silver Wheels, 25th Anniversary Front Bumper, 17K miles. Just had a major service too (which included rebuilding the waterpump, new cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires. Adjusted the valves, new rear springs, etc...
Once I saw this car, I knew it was the one!!! After I committed to buying it, I turned over all the paperwork, registration, title, money, etc. to Roy and Kevin. Let me tell ya', those guys made this transaction to SMOOTH!!!! I had to worry about nothing!!!! MANY, MANY THANKS to Roy and Kevin (Cats Exotics) for putting up with me for the last 7 months!!!
The car will be picked up by enclosed carrier Thursday and start the journey West. They said it should be here in about 8-9 days. I'm using High End Transportation - http://www.gohet.com/
Many thanks to Ben Abrams (Northwest Auto Salon) for the recommendation! Rates and shipping times were fantastic!
So, after waiting 7 months for a car, I now have to wait another week or so for it to get here!!! I'm bouncing off the walls in anticipation!!
Again, many thanks to Roy and Kevin (Cats Exotics) for all their help and advice!!!! Once again, Cat's Exotic's comes through!!!!!

EXCELLENT Keith!!! Glad you are enjoying it! I sure did!
Even though my wife was always yelling at me for not driving it!! hahaha... I bought from Ferrari & Maserati of Seattle in Nov. 2005 with just about 12,100 miles on it. I sold it 3 years later with 17,100 on the clock. Only 5K in 3 years!
Next year I would really like to get an '07 or '08 Quattroporte.
Hopefully you found all the stuff in the trunk (AGIP Oil, books, manuals, CD, keys, etc..).

Hey Mike, how the heck do I get the iPod to work?

Hey Mike, how the heck do I get the iPod to work?
You have to have a disc in the CD Changer in the trunk ( I thought I left one in slot #1, but can't remember.) The instructions don't say it, but you do need one in the changer to fool the unit into thinking that it is playing one. Make sure you press the SRC button at the head unit to play CD's, hook up the iPod and all should be right with the world.
The iPod interface that I have was created by a guy on this board (DeLorean Pilot), and its like a 1st generation interface, so you won't be able to see the images from the iPod on the screen of the Maserati unit. I think since this interface was created, some other folks on this board have been able to come up with other options, so that the Maserati display shows exactly what is on the iPod. Folks like "BeeYouZeeZee" have some really nice setups.

Well maybe thats the problem. I have not used the Changer yet so I loaded it (you did leave a CD in #1) with all 5 CDs and used SRC button to get to correct screen and I cant get any sound from any CD in the changer. Any other buttons to push?? Thanks a lot for the help Mike, Keith

OH! Now I get you.... With the iPod Connector that I install, you can't use the CD changer at all. Its basically back there with a dummy CD in it, doing nothing. To use that CD Changer instead of the iPod connector, you need to lift up the arm rest, take out the screws of the black panel and take the iPod cable I installed and plug the CD Changer back in. If that is confusing, I did leave the iPod adpater instructions in one of the blue owners manual folders. Just reverse the instructions on the installation.
I didn't have any problem with "crippling" the CD changer, as I have moved all my CD's over to the iPod, so I had no need for it.
Hope that makes sense!

I finally got my own iPod today and tried it. Still no sound. SRC to CD changer screen and CD 1 is "playing" on the screen but no sound from iPod or anything for that matter. Any ideas? Keith

Not sure Keith... Is the volume turned up on your iPod? I used to keep that volume set about 3/4 of the way up on the iPod. Then controlled the master volume using the volume knob on the Maserati head unit.
The only other thing I could suggest is to make sure it is set to the CD changer and not the CD under the arm rest (Navigation CD).
