Ok everyone,
My car is coming out of surgery in about a week, so I am thinking we should all go on a drive in the second week of February or something?
When is a good time for all of you guys?
and WHERE would you guys like to drive? I want to test out the new formula dynamic stuff I got myself the way they are supposed to be used!
Maybe a nice cruise somewhere in Orange County? :)
PCH cruise would be nice...

Any weekend in early Feb works for me. PCH would be cool, but a little sluggish and stop n go. But if that's the plan count me in. As long as I am behind the wheel it really doesn't matter the route or destination.
somewhere challenging?? Angeles Forest? or we could do Angeles Crest again.

Next weekend or the 16th/17th? I think with the Superbowl it might be hard to get people out and the weather isn't looking bright this weekend either.
17th sounds good. parade or zoom zoom?

That address would be correct sir.. You make a right off the Westlake Blvd;) freeway exit and it is on the south west corner of the shopping center on Westlake and Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Ronen is the user.
The car is a lot more "sporty" than I imagined. Can take corners very well too... but Ron is a very good driver, so I couldnt really get a feel of the car.

is Angeles forest close enough? as tony pointed out the quality of the drive reduces significantly in most of the canyon roads near central LA. lots of cyclists and bikers, dangerous and a pain following behind them at 10 mph. track day is also an option though not many shown interests on this board. it is definitely safer in controlled environment.
When did that happen!?
the very beginning right after we exited the freeway...some dumb kids in a toyota 4runner cut in front of me twice, I finally passed them they drove by and gave me the finger...I was like wtf...i then blocked them in the middle of the road as you guys made the right turn. luckily attacker was there I was then able to get behind you guys. why do 18-year-olds do that?

GREAT drive and Wonderful people. It was very nice to meet you all. That is for sure how the car wants to be driven.
Adriana and I will set up one of the future drives starting near Temecula, up Palomar mountain, fast sweepers through Boreggo, up Banner Grade to Julian (Stop for the best Apple Pies) and head back. Rarely congestion anywhere along the route early Saturdays. The Harley's come out on Sunday's.
Thanks Tony for leading us through the assortment of roads I would never know existed.

But of course, and the best Vanilla Bean if I recall..:D I think even cinnamon ice cream is an option. But that is just part of it. The roads are tops. I was going to post a link to a video of Adriana and I ripping up Palomar in the Noble, but Photobucket is phucked for some reason.

Yes beautiful roads down south (just hope the puddles dry up soon). I've done a few drives with San Diego FOC, as well as the (soon to be famous) Targa Trophy Rally -- SD to Palm Springs and back. I always save my route maps. When its my turn, I'll gladly put something together.
Driving to Julian is always fun. There are different routes. I once blasted through Hwy 78 / Hwy 79 at 4am is the GS with high beams on the whole time. No one on the road. What an experience. I guess I should appologize to the homeowners who heard me scream by at 6500 rpm at 4am!!!

BTW, I started using a site called MapMyRide to create 'routes' to share with others. Although targeted towards cyclists, I think it works equally well for drives. Here is an example of a scenic Temecula Wine Country route I created for my triathlon group.
http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/ca/temecula/27915133
If you click on 'Notes', you'll see turn-by-turn directions. It also tracks total mileage and route elevation. Best of all, ITS FREE!!!
Do you guys use some other mapping tool?

If you have yet to go to this annual event, you've missed out. The 2008 Event is coming fast. I have attached the flyer for your review. It is held across the street from the San Diego Airport at Spanish Landing overlooking the San Diego Bay. It is a must see if you are around. We will have enthusists from all around Southern California. The event is open not only to Ferrari's but will include Lamborghini and Maserati. Concours level Italian classics from well known Southern California
collectors will be featured. This year, we add the Italian super bikes from Ducati, Aprilla and MV Augusta. A significant amount of the proceeds will go to the Scripps Stevens Cancer Foundation, La Jolla.
Take a moment and look at the flyer.
I'm bummed because I'll miss it!!!

I have not yet attended Bella Italia but now that I have the GS I plan on attending this April.
Also:
The Symbolic Spring event is March 29th. I go to all their events so I will be there for sure. Anyone interested RSVP before March 18th: rsvp@symbolicmotors.com or 858-350-1393.
For the San Diego drive, waiting until April is ok by me. Whatever works for most here so that we get a solid turn-out
