Hello,

I'm hoping someone may have had experience with this issue before and can offer some advice. I have a 2002 Maserati coupe. The e-brake is not working well. So, the car needs to be parked in first gear on inclines. I parked the car on my driveway the other day which is slightly uphill towards the garage. It is now stuck in first gear and will not start. I cannot pop it into neutral. The clutch light on the dashboard is blinking. It has paddle shifters.

I was told to try rocking the car in case the clutch is stuck. I was also told to try charging the battery in case it is too weak to power the hydraulics. I tried both with no luck.

Does anyone else have any other tips? Has anyone experienced this issue before? Thanks!

Elin

Thanks Tonyswfla. I did already try pressing down very hard on the brake pedal. Still no luck.

So, yours was also stuck in first gear and you just needed to press down hard on the brake pedal to get it into neutral?

When you open the door do you hear the F1 CC pump? If not you may have the same problem as on my car, the Hydraulic pump is down.
