I was watching the history channel and they were reviewing the battle for Guadalcanal in WWII and its significance in preventing Japan from invading Australia.
It then made me wonder if I will ever live to see another major Imperialist war. By today's standards it just seems impossible that a country could/would start to expand its border with force or that that will be the motivating factor that sparks another major war.
