In the 1990's the Ghibli Cup road car became the Ghibli Open Cup race car. Abd marked the return of Maserati to international racing. This mono mark racing series was a first step in putting Maserati back on the map. It is a turn around story of epic proportions. This was a make it or break it moment for Maserati. And luckily for all of us they made it.
No49 Maserati Ghibli cup has a 2litre, 4 valve, dual turbo engine generating 330HP from the factory. At the time this was the highest hp/litre of any production car in the world. Quite an achievement. The engine revs quickly and like to be in the higher revs-range. It encourages spirited driving from its occupants. The color is the famed Franca Blu, original paint. Inside you will find black leather(antislip) and carbonfibre trim.
